Alice Booker-Johnson, 56, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away January 3, 2017 around 4 or 5 in the morning at St. Vincent Hospital West 86th Street, Indianapolis, IN.
Born April 5, 1960, she was the daughter of Beverly Afzal, who witnessed her passing.
While Ms. Booker- Johnson received many recognizing degrees, her life mainly centered around
Christian Science Wound Care. She got her degree in Hilliard, Ohio through Glenmont Nursing Facility. Afterwards, she went towards owning her own Christian Science nursing business for many many years, where through the work of God, she was able to heal a lot of families.
She is survived by her children Lawrence Davis, Gyles Booker, and PaytonBooker; along with only one grandson.
Ms. Booker- Johnson was devoted to her family, her church, and her school: Martin University (Indiana’s only Predominantly Black Institution of higher education) where she became an alumni who really gave her heart and soul to her school. One of her passions in life was school, she believed in the power of knowledge and she used that throughout her life as a tool to many of her successes. She preached, healed, volunteered whenever she could and above all inspired many with her courageous strength. She will be truly missed by many because of her profound impact. She really gave us the true understanding of what hard work and a little courage can do.
All arrangements were private to the family.
